The Vision

 
Our vision is to be a vibrant worshipping and praying church that glorifies God through reaching the unchurched of the Tweed Coast with the gospel of Jesus, discipling the churched to 'Christ-like'  maturity while equipping the churched for both local and global ministry.
 
How do we know we are meeting the vision God has laid on our heart?
 
When we see:

• People who love God because of God’s great love and mercy expressed to us in Jesus Christ. 

 

• People passionately engaging in Prayer, Worship, the reading of His Word and Meeting Together (Fellowship)

 

• People being transformed, demonstrating a passion to serve God and others.

 

• People seeking to grow in our knowledge of Him, wanting to be conformed to His character and celebrating His love and activity  in our lives.

 

• The church training and equipping people in Evangelism.

 

• The value of meeting together as a vital and integral part of our growth and encourage all Christians wherever possible to do this. 

 

• Participation in The Lord’s Supper  and the Baptisms of new believers.

 

• Brothers and sisters meeting together in small groups to pray and explore God’s Word, believing that we grow as we learn about Him more, equipping us to serve Him more effectively.

 

• Us meeting together informally, sharing meals, a “cuppa” or just having a chat, getting to know one another, encouraging and supporting each other.

 

• Our church seeking to be open, friendly, accepting and accountable, seeking to walk humbly with God, loving justice, mercy and keenly desiring that all would know Him.

 

• Worship and love for God expressed in acts of service. For example  Ministries such as : The Op Shop, The Place ( coffee shop ) with adjoining playground, Playgroup, Loveworx, Family Funanza, Foodbank and a Community Centre which is available for use.

 

• More personal support  offered through Pastoral Care such as visiting the sick or supporting those in need.

 

• The church seeking to support various ministries locally and abroad.

 

• People seeking to be equipped, believing that understanding our faith helps us to live it and communicate it.

 

• People seeking to make Him known daily in our conversations, actions and responses to all facets of life, always ready to give an explanation of the hope we have within us.

 

• We value godly leadership and we seek to encourage, train and develop a leadership group that reflects all who are part of T.C.C.B.C.

• Our church grows.
