Every 3rd Saturday of the month from 9 am to 11 am church volunteers give of their time to wash cars and provide cappuccinos and sausages all for free. Showing the love of God to the community is such a blessing to Tweed Coast Community Church.
So what is LOVEWORX?
The idea originated in the USA through serving the community
Pastor Russell was so excited by what he heard and saw in his initial meeting with Steve Sjogren that he knew that this could also be used as tool to bless people in Australia.
Gold Coast Coast Christian Family ran the LOVEWORX Ministry by conducting a free car wash at the church property, teams went off campus to local service stations with BBQ's, sausages, cans of soft drink and gave them away!
This offended some people who did not want to receive a FREE gift, and many people tried to offer donations but we were steadfast in our desire to give it away, and politely declined. Some refused to take the gift and we lovingly allowed them to do so.
We believe that Salvation, 'Eternal Life' or heaven is given to people as a FREE Gift. A challenge people have is that they know that they are not worthy or are too proud to receive the gift.
The intention of LOVEWORX is to get people into the habit of receiving something that they don't really need in order to receive the thing that they really do need, the gift of eternal life.
LOVEWORX breaks down walls in peoples hearts!
LOVEWORX is a great way to let our light shine before all people!
