Pray for me as I have more tasks to complete before take off (at 11am tomorrow) than hours in the day.

My second last Sunday of preaching at GCCF.. an era draws to a close... a large part of my life, complete with successes and failures. New opportunities open with new challenges and I'm tempted to see and to tackle each on the basis of my past, what I know I can do. It's natural, it's comfortable... it's limiting. My past is not my potential. God is changing me, growing me and transforming me into the person He wants me to become- this is part of His process. So often it's not who I am that holds me back, it's who I think I'm not.
Be challenged today; move beyond your past. Robert Brault said, 'How often in life we complete a task that was beyond the capability of the person we were when we started it.' Don't limit yourself or God. Broaden your horizons. Like me, expect God to move you beyond your past and into new territory. ![]() Early Thursday, I'll be heading overseas (USA) with a full itinerary of speaking engagements and opportunities to share and encourage other pastors. For me, these times are both physically draining yet mentally and emotionally rejuvenating. Within weeks of my return, I will face a new and exciting challenge as I start my ministry with Tweed Coast Community Church. Each church family is different, each hurdle unique. Yet the vision to share Christ with others and be His ambassador, His face and His hands to each other and the community is universal. Please share this journey with me as together we learn and grow through this new work. |
